Paul McBride called at the Bar in 1988 and at the age of 35 became the youngest Queen's Counsel ever appointed in the UK.
As one of the most successful criminal defence Counsel in the country he is regularly involved in the highest profile criminal case reported in this country, such as:
- The Nat Fraser murder trial
- The Moira Jones murder trial
- The Chokar trial
- The head on the beach murder
- The largest drugs importation cases in Scotland
Paul also specialises in regulatory crime. Recently he was involved in the first UK public inquiry into the Stockline tragedy in Glasgow and also the Castle Craig fatal accident inquiry. Paul has also been instructed in the Rosepark fatal accident inquiry.
